  • Purpose: Children's Pop-Up Book with Sounds
  • Brief: This was my first pop-up book that I worked on with Andy Mansfield at Templar Publishing. It's such an iconic Children's story to work on, with such rich imagery. It was a great project to work on and also learn from, as I went onto illustrate three more books in the series. My favourite pop-up image was the final spread, where Alice grows to enormous proportions in the courtroom scene. It was a real challenge to try to implement forced perspectives in both the paper mechanics and the illustration. The challenge was creating human and animal characters that were contemporary yet also recognisable to the story.
