Project: Aesop's Fables, Written by Saviour Pirotta
Commissioned by: Kingfisher Children's Books
Purpose: 80 page gift book
Brief: Eight stories from Aesop's fables including 'The Lion and the Mouse', 'The Frogs Who Wanted to be King' and 'The Jay and the Peacocks'. The artwork is a mixture of vignettes and larger single page images. I wanted the illustrations to be fun and colourful, concentrating on the personalities and interaction between the animal and human characters.
