Project: Little Liberty Children's Department Mural
Commissioned By: Liberty of London
Purpose: Department Store Mural Artwork
Brief: I was commissioned to decorate the walls, ceiling, doors and installations for Liberty’s new Children’s department on the 3rd floor of the iconic building. A really lovely commission but very demanding as I had to design and paint full size mural illustrations directly into the department. I designed the images around the theme of a magical wood inhabited by friendly creatures. This was based on sketchbook work I previously undertaken and which the client liked. A couple of times I had to work throughout the night to finish the murals. It's a very strange feeling to be all alone in such an old prestigious building!
